Pregnancy Checks
During the pregnancy, your body will change in many different ways. We will schedule pregnancy checks to see whether these physical changes still match the normal course of pregnancy. Your health is what is most important to us.
Every check-up, we will examine you and your baby, and we will try to determine what it is that you need to have a healthy pregnancy. The information and advice that we give you will be straightforward, honest, and tailored to your needs, and together with you we will analyse the possible risks of your pregnancy and delivery. If there are any complications, we may refer you to your GP or a gynaecologist.
Pregnancy checks will be scheduled all through your pregnancy. At first these checks will be once a month, later on in the pregnancy they will be more frequent. These checks are meant to guard your health and the development and growth of the baby. During the checks, we will gradually get to know you better, and our relationship will become one of mutual trust. This relationship is essential to a good preparation for the delivery, and hopefully it will make you feel comfortable enough to ask us all the questions that you may have, even if they are difficult or intimate.
For women who want to have a home birth, we will schedule a home visit in the 36th week.
