Our Philosophy
We see pregnancy and birth as a natural process, and we believe a midwife should always try to find an optimal balance between protecting this natural process and recognising in time the symptoms that may signal a medical risk.
During the pregnancy, we take time to listen to you and your partner and to answer the questions that you may have. We think it is important to get to know you, because a midwife who knows her clients well is better able to spot changes and to react more quickly.
We think it is important that you feel confident about your own strength during the pregnancy, birth and postpartum period. Experience has taught us that the more confidence you have in your own strength and the more (self) confident you are, the more you will benefit from it during the course of the pregnancy as well as the delivery. (Self) confidence will help you relax. It is very important to us that each woman can and is allowed to give birth in the way she chooses – at home or in hospital, with or without analgesia – just the way you want it.
Our goal is that you can look back on your pregnancy, delivery and postpartum period contentedly. Together we will try to find out what it is you need to achieve that.
